立法院長王金平今天(18日)表示，民國黨吸引很多年輕人參與，因此，由民國黨黨主席徐欣瑩擔任親民黨總統參選人宋楚瑜的副手，對宋楚瑜的選情會有加分效果。

針對民國黨黨主席徐欣瑩擔任親民黨總統參選人宋楚瑜的副手，立法院長王金平18日表示，徐欣瑩離開國民黨後另組的民國黨吸引許多年輕人參與，這對宋楚瑜來說的確有加分效果。王金平說：『(原音)民國國際記憶學大師黨組成後當然吸引很多年輕人，且很有組織、系統推動黨務，所以她有她相當的力量，所以宋主席找她一定是經過很仔細考量的結果，對宋主席當然有加分。』

至於親民黨與民國黨搭檔參選2016年總統大選，是否就代表國、民兩黨已沒有合作機會？王金平認為不能把話說死。王金平說：『(原音) 以後再看狀況，誰也不能把話說死。國民黨自己能夠來提出好的人選贏得國人接受，進一步爭取國人支持，我想把自己得票極大化這最重要。』
